The Burns Shortscale Jazz guitar was produced between the years of mid 1962 to late 1964 as a less expensive alternative to the highly styled Black Bison or Hank Marvin guitars. These 2 pickup 'Jazz' guitars were far rarer than the 3 pickup Split Sound model and featured a Sycamore body, Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard and the Plain-top Tri-sonic pickups with a 3 way selector switch to give you a more straightforward version of the split-sound. Burns guitars made in England are highly regarded as very well built guitars and have a nice slim, easy playing shortscale neck that has a less rounded feel than a Fender.
This guitar has plenty of play wear as you would expect from a guitar that is over 50 years old but has lots 60's character and sound's fantastic. A good chance to own a piece of British guitar building history.
